Online CourseTests will be administered on campus or with an approved proctor. Non-local students are required to coordinate with their instructor to arrange an approved proctor in their local community. Students who do not have access to a proctor may need to purchase an online proctoring service and use a webcam with high-speed internet for testing.
Note: This limited on-site section requires that 80% or more (but not all) of the required instruction can be completed online. Limited face-to-face components such as test proctoring, clinical site work, etc. are required.

Contemporary Mathematics

Prerequisites: appropriate placement test score, a grade of "C" or better in M 094, co-requisite of M 005, or Math Department consent.This course is an introduction to mathematical ideas and their impact on society. The course is designed to give students the skills required to understand and interpret quantitative information that they encounter, and to make numerically based decisions in their lives. Several math topics will be explored, including basic probability and statistics.
